Our Humble Beginnings

The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir was founded in 1979 by Rev. Jim Cymbala, with a vision to spread the message of God's love through music. Initially, we were just a small group of passionate believers who wanted to use our talents to glorify Him. Little did we know that this humble beginning would be the foundation for what is now one of the most renowned gospel choirs in the world.

We started with a handful of members and held our first service at the Brooklyn Tabernacle Church, where Rev. Cymbala was the pastor. Our early days were marked by prayer, dedication, and a strong desire to serve God through music.
